HISTORY OF GRACE

 

Grace Methodist Church was founded and organized in 1950. The founding pastor was Rev. Doug McGuire, who pastored the church from 1950 to 1954. The first formal service took place on the Louisiana Tech campus on October 8, 1950. The church's original location was at the corner of Tech Drive and California Avenue, and it remained there for several decades. In 1982, a new facility was erected at the current location.  We have had many faithful pastors in the past and currently have a host of ministries both here and abroad. The current pastor is Rev. Kevin Smith, who has served at Grace since 2021. Today, Grace offers a warm, Christian environment in which you can accept, grow, and share the grace of God.
