WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our beliefs can be found in the Apostles' Creed here: https://www.umc.org/en/content/apostles-creed-traditional-ecumenical, and the Articles of Religion of the United Methodist Church which can be read here: https://www.umc.org/en/content/articles-of-religion
THE TRINITY
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
THE SCRIPTURES
We believe in the Holy Bible, which is revealed in the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments.
SIN
We believe humanity has been separated from God by sin and this has affected all of humankind.
REDEMPTION
Redemption and forgiveness of sin is found in the grace of God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
THE CHURCH
The Church is God's universal body that exists as God's community of believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
THE FUTURE
We believe Jesus is returning and that all will stand before him.
THE SACRAMENTS
We believe in two sacraments: Baptism and Communion.
Baptism in water represents God washing away our sins through Jesus Christ. This can be celebrated by sprinkling, pouring, and immersion.
Communion is celebrated with wine or juice, and bread. This represents the sacrifice that Christ has made for us with his body and blood. All are invited to participate.
